Well here I am blogging exactly 24-humanoid years after being pushed out of my mommy’s womb. Its still early dawn I guess and everyone else who has a job must be asleep hence no one bothered to send nice/ cute/ meaningful greetings, or am I just kidding myself and no one bothers anymore?
I remember last year at the stroke of midnight I was swamped by torrents of SMSes and calls, asking for clubbing, drinking, racing etc etc. This year? Not even a whimper from my cell phone. I wonder where most of them are right now seeing which today is a Friday. *Sigh…Girlfriend is probably asleep by now, we had a nice little chat earlier, her Granddad’s birthday is just before mine and she just finished celebrations over at their place.
She had readied a nice musical composition of multiple songs which were very touching and oh so meaningful, not to mention that “This is the song that doesn’t end” number from that kiddy show Lamb Chops Play Along, which drives me nuts!!! Thank you darling…really appreciate it a lot. You’re the only one who truly cares…I love you.
Come to think of it…geez…24 years is a fiendishly long time. That’s 2 zodiac cycles I’ve already been through. The year in retrospect has been nothing short of life changing. No more smoky clubs, no more 3-4 hour dance stunts at Mambo, no liver-damaging beer fests, in short no more bad/ unhealthy stuffs. I’m almost clean…errr…physically haha!
Guess I won’t be doing much today, besides getting my baby her contact lens solutions, its gonna be pretty uneventful. (Read: Fantastic Gastronomical Adventures of Jecht while journeying into the Forbidden!!! Dangerous!!! Epicenter of his Cryptic HDB Estate while in search of the Magical Contact Lens Solutions!). Yeah and that sounds like Oscar material! I’m going to brave dangers from the backstabbing highly skilled road sweepers and go toe to toe with the 20cent toilet aunty before unleashing my highly honed bargaining skills on the unsuspecting sales reps behind the counter of the evil optician!!! OMG!!! – ok, ok…I’m bored late at night, excuse me for trying to spice things up haha =P
My parents planned to have a dinner at Bobby Rubino’s tomorrow…I’m not sure if that will take place given the state of my throat right now. My nose still ain’t working and I want my freaking ribs!!!…I’m going to kill anyone that gets in my way of lowing ribs into my gut later. GRRRRrrrr….!!!!
And in other news, if you had read earlier, yes, I have put my moolah down on the 1.6L 2-door Hyundai Getz! The little hatch goes from 0-100 in 9.6secs need I say more? And at that bargain basement price, I oughta be shot for not passing it up! 15inch wheelies, rear spoiler, fog lamps and a 16-valve DOHC engine which pumps out a whopping 106bhp that will propel the little car into performance car levels – need I say more? It’s black and coming end December. Serangoon is never going to be the same hehe…
Ok so this year wasn’t all bad. Nevermind no one remembers What DAY IT IS TODAY! (Yes you know who you are!) At least I know those people closest to me still do. Thanks to all for reading my blog, its been a big part of my life which I would continue to share with the rest of the world.
Oh oh oh…almost forgot! Its’my13-month anniversary with my baby as well. Heehee..I love ya Muackz!!! Looking forward to tonight! *winkz winkz!
