The Nite Before...
I don't know why this year I simply have no mood to celebrate my B'day at all. There just isn't any reason to get drunk and party like there's no tomorrow. Maybe it's because I'm getting old, maybe it's because my baby isn't with me, maybe it's because I'm on an extremely tight budget, or maybe...just maybe I've grown tired of the same thing year in year out?
My friends have attributed it to my main concern, my baby (whose still in China btw). Ever since she left, I've been kinda out of sorts and with my B'day looming, it just got a little more obvious. I think otherwise. I've been thinking, what makes the day you were born so special that it requires celebration? Ok some might argue that, you are going to be a year older and blah blah blah...I'm still trying to comprehend the real reason why we celebrate other people's B'days.
I don't really have any big plans for tomorrow, lunch with a good friend. Dinner with my Army pals who share their B'days within the same week, and later meeting another friend for a bout of Sheesha. Pretty quiet and tame for a B'day if you had known me a few years back. Happy Birthday? I havn't smiled in 9 days...
