6th Day Thy King Cometh
hmm...how should I start today's posting? Some trival matters aside, I'm feeling great!!! Received lotsa get well emails btw. My heartfelt thanks to all of you! Started the day off my waking up bright and early and caught on some of that saturday morning cartoons I stopped watching since I was "wee" small...
Sure brought back memories, they had DBZ on at 9 I think, the last time I watched or read a DBZ comic was in secondary school (high school) thats like....damn...9-10 years ago...Wasn't sure if it was a rerun but what the heck I enjoyed watchin Sun Goku hammer the daylights outta Freeza =P after that came Pokemon - which i gladly changed channels and went on to catch some news on CNA. Never liked Pokemon, didnt know why, maybe its just that yellow rat, Pikacu is it? whats' it called? nevermind.
After that came TMNT...ok that really brought back nostagia. That was the show that made me wanted to keep turtles as pets in the first place. I remember I used to sit by the fish tank I hoped my turtles would evolve into my cartoon heroes. (Whaddya expect? I was 12 at that time!!!) Anyway TMNT was repackaged with a slicker, meaner and grittier look something that would appeal to today's young-uns, and April O'neil that reporter she probably got laid off from her reporter job cause now shes' a lab tech...
At the same time a rival TV station was screening Transformers. I was torn between the 2. I chose the latter hehehe...simply because I'm a mecha fan. Now this here was a new series I think, no longer PC generated cells but back to basics handdrawn flare most probably of Japanese origin due to the strong manga flavour. Optimus is some big red fire engine, Megatron is a huge black plane, and theres another old Optimus look-alike called Scurge working for the Decepticons. I'm totally clueless.
Pretty enjoyable day thus far. Oh well gotta run (sleep). Cyas~!!!
