Renovations

Yuppy! its up! my album links have all been restored and I created pretty banners for both of 'em :D, its a mild accomplishment if you know my relationship with computers. I will be looking into other various add-ons to sweeten my already champion blog (bhb).

I would have posted this sooner if it wasn't for the damned power outage last nite, apparently some gas line flipped and various parts of our city state fell into complete darkness. My dad rushed out screaming who tripped the fuse and was cussing non-stop till we asked him to look outside and he simmered down (senile old man!).

Next goofball idea, m dad suggests we go over to my uncle's vacated house which has been empty for a year. Result? freaking dusty and we came back home just in time for the power to be restored. Waste of my bloody time? U bet! Let my impatient dad decide whats right next time? No way.

Went to the Car Expo on Sunday at ard 6pm. What a rush! of cause I was accompanied by the sweet and cute Erin, my super nice girlfriend, who had to follow this mad man on his snapping seizure when he entered the expo hall. Seeing that she doesnt enjoy cars but chose to follow me nevertheless, I'm so touched! awww...ur so nice baby! big kissy for u! M-U-A-C-K-S~!!!

On to the report! I would give the expo a 6 out of 10, it lacked variety, i saw lots of skylines, evos, and Rexes and not much else. It was more of a show for the various garages and tuning companies to show their stuff. But of coz I took a bucket load of pics to share (SEE MY ALBUM section)

The race queens were average, the ones from Ozzie are so-so, the locals were just plain yucks! but the best were of cause the Jappy Race Queens! So Coy, so demure, yet with a come hither look, everyone was clamouring for some race queen action! Ah well...It was super fun anyway! looking forward to the next car show end of this yr.

Fast forward to today, its another work week, I dragged myself out of bed having watched a lame first half of last nite's Euro Q-Final Czech vs Denmark, a goaless first half made me so bloody sleepy i went to bed, and guess what? The Friggin' Czechs came back in the second half and blasted the Danes to a 3-0 win!

WTF?? I missed all that!!! TYCO! KELONG!!!BOO~!!!

Bud

Just got off from a conversation wif my best bud, Clarence, his been my best pal for abt 10yrs, yep a decade of boozing, smoking, fighting, driving and womanizing (ok maybe not:). Even though we dun meet as often as before, whenever we meet, we hit it off as instantly as the last time we had a heated exchange of ideals. There will be the studies lecture, the latest car model rant, the technical aspect of car talks, his latest conquests in the woman world, the next thing his parents are gonna buy for him, handphone rants, u name it, we talked about it. Anyway, would like to wish him all the best in Perth, Australia! Buy that WRX! kick some aussie ass! and study hard! Thanks for everything, I think:\

Happiness

Happier times... 

What exactly is happiness to me?
Happiness is a state of mind where there are no worries, your heart and mind are completely in bliss, you are able to share your life with that significant other and most of all knowing that your other, loves you as well.

Sleepy

Spent an extremely active weekend, what with Daddy's day and all. I went No Signboard Seafood twice within 3 days, once for my gf's side and the other for my ol' man's. I went to Wild Wild Wet on saturday with my gf's family, and what a blast we had!

From playin at some of the slides (i only ventured to the kiddy ones coz the bigger rides has queues that lasted like oh...a good 2hours) relaxing at the Jacuzzi pool, riding the waves at the tidal pool and finally juz getting some good tanning. Overall it was a well worthed trip and my baby got to put on the ultra-hot bikini i bought for her :D - that alone was well worth the price admission.

Reaching her house, we caught Ong Bak on ch.56, and man can that thai dude kick ass! he makes jackie chan look like a toddler doing magic tricks. The guy leaps over cars in a single bound, takes out guys twice his size with one swift muay-thai styled kick to the head and he has a nasty panche for elbowing thugs squarely on their noggins'. Not exactly drained yet, me and Erin bolted back home and took daddy's merc and spinned over to Bishan for a Harry Potter fix. The show has grown considerably darker, alot of the innocence from the first 2 movies are now sadly gone, and so is the magic which the previous 2 had, I won't recommend HP3.

Am back in office now, feeling extremely tired, monday blues, body aches, sun burnt skin, black rings around ma' eyes, ahhh...yes the perfect weekend!

Cars

automotive nirvana 

I love car mags! During lunchtime I would make a 100m sprint to Borders for my daily dosage of automobiles. Why the allure you ask? I think it’s in-built into the male psyche; we define cars as masculine, the domain of males? Even till now, the majority of drivers globally are still males. From as early as I could remember, I was busy hammering matchbox cars together, reliving my own “destruction derbies”.

The last straw came after I watched “The Fast and The Furious”. Seeing a heavily tuned civic swivel in and out under a monstrous 18-wheeler just snapped something within me, I just knew I had to get myself a license. Now, 2 years later, I’m lavishing at the thought of driving my dream car soon. I would like my car to represent my attitude towards life, the passion I have for speed, the image conjured up when you hear it’s 280hp revving to life.

Cars set the trends nowadays, someone comes in with a new design that proves to be a hit and in an instant every manufacturer is cranking out a model that sports a certain similar styling cue. (Recently: smoked LED, HID Lamps) Cars are a fashion statement as well, one look at your car and you can instantly judge a person’s personality by his car, how well maintained is a car would also show if its driver does take care of his possessions. The list is endless.

Nostalgia

This brings back alot of memories... 

Sometimes its the smallest things which trigger the biggest memories to flood back into one's conscience. Lately I've been experiencing alot of Deja Vu' instances. A sign? Perhaps. But I have another thing on my mind right now.

Erin, baby, darling, I can see it in your eyes. Let me assure you that I will not let you down, will always be here for you, giving you every inch of support you need, the love which you want and be there with you every step of the way. Though we might be separated by barriers, our hearts beat as one. If I'm not around, I will only be one phone call away.

I hope you were not frightened, I spent a long time pondering the whole day, what is most important is you and always will be you. I love you and will never let you be hurt this I promise. Place your complete trust and faith in me and together we will conquer all.

Dates

I feel rather subdued today, heck, I'm in no mood to celebrate anything. Its my mummy dearest's B'day. Most prob we be dining at Crystal Jade Taka tonite. But today is also a very important day...it's my 7th month anniversary with Erin. Sadly I can't spend the day with her.

Feel rather depressed now, vexed and grouchy. Having seen her in days, this is the longest stretch we been apart so far since her China trip. I rented Hot Chick last nite hoping that a comedy might alleviate my problems, but alas, it just reminded me more of her. I want so much to be with her right now...but I can't.

We have to wait till Saturday. I miss you alot my darling, Can't wait to hold you in my arms, feel the softness of your touch, the warmth from your heart and the tenderness in your breath...Happy Anniversary Baby! I LOVE YOU!

Gone

Adios Singapore Idol~! 

well my first attempt at stardom has juz come to an abrupt end...reason being I was too pitchy, inconsistent blah blah blah, or so the judges said...

Let me juz put it this way, channel5 juz offically screwed the American Idol franchise. I rushed there ard 6.40am via cab to reach suntec by 7am only 2 be greeted by a horde of peeps already waitin since the day b4. They could have asked potential idol wannebes to wait within suntec itself we (about 2-3K) were asked juz across the fountain of wealth in a torrential rain which lasted for like...oh 2hours.Nevertheless i waited for like another hour or so b4 i reached the head of the queue.

Next we were moved to the holding room for registration. it took another 45 mins to get my name on the list. Another 2 hours were spent in yet another queue to enter the audition hall where another queue awaited us, but at least this was faster. Judges were sending lotsa hopefuls packing. After the inevitable, i found my gf sleeping at one of the many seating areas. Went back home and slept the rest of the day away hoping to forget whatever happened.

Idolized

My nightmares are juz abt to begin... 

I have a strange feeling the title for this post is gonna repeat itself many a-more times in the nex couple of days. Work is a total bore today, nothing new, juz surfed websites aimlessly.

Singapore Idol is coming up in like...oh 2 days...yes u heard me! TWO FREAKING DAYS! Progress in singing my song of choice (Phantom Planet's Califonia) 0%!!! Have no mood to practise, probably just go there sing my line, if they love me FANTASTIC!, if they don't, "I'mma gonna slit their throats!" hmm...my colleague, Jacelyn mentioned that Florence Lian (head honcho of mediacorp radio and also SI judge) likened her taste to jazz music instead of the expected mariah and whitney wannabes.

Anyway enough of crap...and assing of @ work. I'm hungry, think I will go raid the 7-11 downstairs and chill there till I can go home. Cheerios!

Sugarcane

woke up this morning coz my baby was having tummy cramps, attack og gastritis? nope...more like last nite's sugarcane juice. Thats pretty potent stuff. No sooner did i coax her back to sleep after taking sum pills. I too was struck down a stomache as well. Sucks! Needless to say, I did the inevitable.

Its vesak day tomorrow, can sorta kick back n relax. Baby wants to go to the food expo hehe...greedy and I desperately need to get a tan and get ready for Singapore Idol. Currently, I'm thinking of singing the theme song to OC, but had no time to practise. DIE!
